In the 4th edition of his Two Hundred Selected Drinks (1936) Knut W. Sundin commented on his Kungsholm Cocktail that "A dash of absinthe gives a good taste to this drink."
MS Kungsholm was a passenger liner owned and operated by the Swedish American Line from 1928 to 1941 and used for transatlantic services from Gothenburg to New York City as well as cruising out of New York. The MS Kungsholm was built at the Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg, Germany. For a short period, 1940-41, as Kungsholm was cruising the Caribbean after war broke out in Europe, Kungsholm operated on the trans-Atlantic service with some cruise operations just before World War II. The MS Kungsholm presented Knut W. Sundin as its star bartender for a major part of Sundin's bartending career.
